How is MiraDry treatment performed?
The process begins with a medical evaluation to confirm the diagnosis of axillary hyperhidrosis and determine whether the treatment is right for you. On the day of the session, we carefully mark the area to be treated and apply local anesthesia to make the procedure comfortable.
Then, the MiraDry device emits controlled electromagnetic energy that generates heat in the deep layer of the skin, where the glands responsible for excessive sweating are located. This energy selectively destroys the glands, while a cooling system protects the surface layer of the skin.
